Like - Dislike

When you like someone for who they are as a person, and can have a quality time with them, it is easy to overlook their shortcomings and not be bothered by small habitual differences. Infact it is even possible that you appreciate even the most mediocre things that they do. I strongly believe that when you like someone, even the not so good looking people start to appear handsome and beautiful….

In the contrary, when you do not like a person, even the smallest habitual difference can be majorly annoying…. the way they make sound while sipping water, the way they laugh, their suggestions, everything can be irritating. You cannot see goodness even in the nicest things they do, even if it is for you. If they are good looking, you would attribute all their short comings to ‘arrogance associated with looks’.

When you want to please some one, we should probably focus on making that person like you by striking identity with them, having a good conversation, and having fun together in whatever you do, rather than focusing on a certain situation, activity or time.

I have had this conversation with so many people in different ways now…so I thought it deserves a blog entry….
